Europe’s second largest country, Ukraine is a land of wide, fertile agricultural plains, with large pockets of heavy industry in the east.
In the 1930s, Stalin’s agricultural collectivism in Ukraine led to forced famines, killing over eight million people within the “bread basket” of the Soviet Union. When the USSR collapsed, much of Ukraine fell into poverty and almost 40% of the rural population remains there today.
While the government will not let us do micro finance in this country we are still able to assist sister ministries by finances, training, and spiritual support to those in meed in the Gypsy villages in the Uzhgorod area of Ukraine.
Training and support with food and other items shows the love of Jesus in many ways.
Congratulations to Brenda, Esmerelda and Angelinia for completing their courses in cosmetology. We are praying that God will help provide a place for them so He can use them to bless the community. Thanks to those who gave to help make this possible!!
